Some boxes carry a small white anti-theft strip with a barcode. We buy from several suppliers and warehouses, and some of them tag their stock.

So one box may have it and the next may not. The perfume inside is the same, sealed and untouched, and the strip has no battery.

Peel it off gently, or leave it on so the print does not tear.
